Software catalog

Code, context, checksums—never unsafe nostalgia.

Historic software records will identify platform, language, version, contributor, provenance, rights, relationships, and file integrity. Executables remain metadata-only until distribution and safety reviews are complete.

Safe-download rule A clean malware scan is not proof that old software is safe to execute. Historic binaries stay unavailable unless lawful distribution, integrity, and serving behavior are confirmed.

Software traveled with its human context.

A composite reconstruction of practitioners diagnosing software in a DEC-era machine room. The equipment and atmosphere are interpretive—not a record of one installation or incident.
